Tackling Brexit and the hostile immigration environment

Immigration law specialists MyUKVisas have had a strong start to 2019 taking on two extra staff and opening a second office in Sheffield. The Huddersfield-based firm has clients from over 60 different countries and advises businesses on how to retain and recruit international staff post-Brexit.

The firm was founded by Arta Heath, an immigration solicitor with more than 20 years of experience. She said: ‘The combination of Brexit and the hostile immigration environment in the UK is making it harder for people to succeed with applications to live and work in this country. It has also caused many international workers in this country to question whether they really want to be here. It’s important that employers take the time to understand how their international workers feel and act to support them.’

MyUKVisas has offices in John William Street, Huddersfield, and Castle Square, Sheffield. It serves both private and business clients.

Ms Heath has teamed up with New Dawn Resources and Stafflex to run an event to help firms and understand how to help their EU staff apply for settled status. It is on 5th June 2019 at 8.30am in Huddersfield. Email kate.booth@newdawnresources.co.uk to book a place.
